Youth Group: Ninth through Twelfth Graders Our Youth Group welcomes teens in grades eighth through twelfth and is built on friendship, sharing, learning and spiritual growth. This year, students will study and create poetry using a variety of styles, with the chance to uncover, explore and examine their own personal truths. They will experiment with lyric writing, leading to the composition of a song to be performed for the congregation. Students will examine what it means to live life on purpose, identifying what they value and what it means to put those values into action. The group also will collaborate with other Unitarians and/or Youth Groups from other denominations. In addition, weekend retreats, fundraisers and social action projects may be planned. |
